OXI Day & Scholarship Awards Celebration 2026

Honoring Our History, Celebrating Our Youth

The Hellenic Cultural Center of the Southwest (HCC-SW) warmly invites our members and friends to attend the Greek School of Texas OXI Day & Scholarship Awards Celebration. Students, parents, and friends of the school are invited to gather for an afternoon celebrating Greek heritage and the achievements of our young people.

Parking: Park by the playground.

OXI Day commemorates Greece’s historic refusal of the Italian ultimatum on October 28, 1940—a lasting symbol of courage, sacrifice, and the determination to defend freedom. Together, we honor that legacy and help carry its meaning forward to the next generation.

The celebration will also include the presentation of scholarships for the 2025–26 school year, recognizing students’ dedication and achievements.

Food-free event: No food will be served at the celebration. An optional group dinner will follow at The Olive Oil Restaurant, where each guest pays for what they order.

Contact: Maria-Elena via Messenger or text at 617-831-8146.

Join us as we remember our history, celebrate our students, and strengthen the bonds of our community!
